A unique call center

At the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, Pune - a one of a kind customer care centre has been set up. PRC is India’s biggest establishment, catering to the needs of several incredibly abled individuals. As a part of our equal opportunity stance for all, we have extended our Customer Care function to be carried out by these incredibly abled soldiers form the Tri-Services. Our aim has been to provide them an opportunity to learn and apply new skills from their own campus, re-rebuild their confidence and interact with the outside world. Our troops face a number of problems related to online booking, air travel etc.

Our team at PRC gives them a platform where they can call and get all answers to their queries related to air travel. They are trained to receive and resolve all travel queries on their own.

Education for our children

As a part of paying back to the fraternity, we have introduced a scholarship programme for wards of Defence Personnel - wherein we will sponsor tuition fees for defence dependents at the Army Institute of Technology. A total amount of 4,00,000 INR will be utilized towards sponsoring the education of our children. This unique offering is not limited to students reflecting a strong academic background but lays equal important to co-curricular activities and a learning aptitude of the students, making it an extremely novel and holistic offering bound to benefit many.

Work for your community with जुड़Chalo

This is an initiative by udChalo to offer Internships/Part time jobs to Dependents, ESM and Defence Wives to showcase their mettle in Business Development and Marketing. This is an opportunity to work closely with our team and in the process, learn and interact with industry experts. Our जुड़Chalo force interacts with our troops to create awareness regarding air travel, new LTC rules and how to avail LTC benefits. Be an influential speaker, organize seminars and talks in your cantonment area so that our troops can benefit from the services available for them.

An opportunity to work

To make air travel booking easily accessible to all our troops we have opened booking counters in various Defence establishments, pan India. These range from quaint unheard of districts to bustling metropolitans; our reach has been unparalleled. By providing a booking counter, across these locations, we have resolved a two pronged need viz of booking access and of employment opportunity. As a policy, we only hire Ex-Service Men, Veer Naaris and Dependents to operate our counters.

Apart from booking air tickets, and helping customers plan their travel, our Counter Sanchalaks also conduct seminars/presentations in their cantonments to spread awareness among troops.

Utkarsh- Unnati ki Udaan

Utkarsh- Unnati ki Udaan, is a program encouraging and empowering women to join the udChalo workforce while working from home. It creates an equal opportunity stance and is a unique program that enables and empowers women to start or restart work with dignity and pride. The word ‘Utkarsh’ in its literal sense stands for awakening, advancement and heading in the direction of prosperity.

This program aims to create a diverse pool of talented women whose skills can cater to the needs of udChalo. Under this program, there are several batches of selected women who gain access to online training and professional development by experienced udChalo employees, to enable them to regain their self-confidence and strike work-life balance.

Women are an integral part of the workforce at udChalo and hold key positions across various critical business functions. The idea is to provide women with a chance to learn and apply new skills from the comfort of their homes, re-rebuild their confidence and interact with the outside world. udChalo believes that women resuming work after a career break must be given adequate support to successfully streamline their transition.

Veteran Placement Program

An initiative of the company that works as a Veteran placement service to bring veterans and corporates together. We help bridge the gap for the Veteran as we understand and work within both the Defence and Corporate space.

udChalo supported and encouraged Army Officer, Lt. Col Bharat Pannu, an avid cyclist on his Guinness Book of World Record-Breaking Solo Cycling Expeditions for two consecutive years 2019 and 2020 and made it into the Guinness World Records for these activities.
